Who are we?

Global Quality Healthcare, LLC, a Colorado limited liability company, was formed by Kent T. Brakken, Ph. D., of Delta, Colorado, USA, and John Balraj of Bangalore, Karnataka, India. Ken traveled to India in 1994, 1997, 1999 and 2009 volunteering as a team member conducting wastewater clean up work, conducting business, and traveling in India and Nepal. As he traveled and worked, he was introduced to the various levels of hospital and medical services available in India. Later, as international medical travel became common, he became aware of the exceptionally high-quality medical services available at the several Indian hospital systems serving the international patient. These "specialty" Indian hospitals now serve international patients from the United States, Great Britain, Canada, Japan, Saudi Arabia and other nations. A level of service that would be rated luxury service in the West is available at an affordable price in India. We understand India for we either live there or we have extensively traveled there. India is a somewhat strange and most interesting place where the western world engages the third world. It is a place of high science, wealth and advancing industrial production and yet it is also a nation of poverty, predominantly in its rural villages. Our objective is to help you find overseas health care that we would offer to our daughters, sons, mothers and fathers. We understand India, it geography, its climate, travel conditions and its amazing opportunities to gain a picture to one of the oldest cultures in the world. Why did we choose India as our choice of the first hospitals that we will associate with?

• India, its physicians, hospital staff and employees speak and write English; most of the people you will be served by are so fluent in English that most average Americans would easily understand them without a translator.
• Possibly as many as 25 percent of American practicing physicians emigrated from India to practice medicine in the United States. We selected India because its physicians, nurses and staff are dedicated, hard-working, well trained and highly experienced in serving the international medical traveler. There once was a "brain drain" of highly qualified medical professionals from India to the USA. With this international medical service, highly qualified medical professionals can remain in and practice the highest level of medicine in India.
• Because of the British influence in Indian history, India has a form of government, a legal system, a rail system and a journalism infrastructure similar to that in Britain. Further, many Indians have a high level of awareness of American news and current events. This helps you, possibly a first-time traveler to India, remain comfortable during your stay there.

In the near future, GQH will visit and inspect hospitals in the USA, Central America and the Far East as we first qualify and then add hospitals. For now, GQH provides medical travel to some of the finest hospitals in the world, in India; where the quality of medical service is exceptional.

Who are our clients?

Our clients are at least in two groups:

1. Independent citizens and residents of North America who for what ever reason want to consider receiving very high quality overseas medical services at affordable prices and prompt scheduling; and
2. North American businesses seeking high quality overseas medical services at affordable prices to better serve its employees and help it control the spiraling cost of American health care.

A number of you may be facing medical costs that may be simply out of your reach,especially if you are uninsured or under-insured. We will help lead you to hospitals staffed with highly trained physicians specifically experienced in the medical treatment you are looking for, at a price affordable to you. Perhaps cost is not your primary factor, but rather you are on a long waiting list for non-emergency medical treatments. We can help you obtain the treatment(s) you want and need in a timely fashion, usually long before you reach the top of the list in your own country. In the case of a company reviewing medical treatment alternatives, we may be able to help you provide quality health care services to your employees at affordable prices.

We want you to involve your personal physician in the selection of your overseas hospital and physician for two reasons: (1) so that you are comfortable knowing that you are about to receive high quality medical care and (2) so that your personal physician will provide you quality and fully-integrated follow-up care when you return home after your overseas treatment. This is the process we recommend for our friends and relatives; this is the process we suggest for you. We intend to treat your as we would our friends and relatives. And because we have such a deep understanding of India, we are prepared to help you through any challenge you may experience in India and make your medical stay and your travel activities in India be as smooth, comfortable and intellectually rewarding as possible.

If you decide to stay in India for your medical recuperation, we will help you acquire quality local accommodations with an international cuisine of your choice and personal guides to serve your local travel needs; all at affordable prices. If you decide to travel to India unaccompanied by a family member or friend, we will provide you a personal attendant to assist you in a similar manner as a friend accompanying you would do. You attendant will not only speak and clearly understand your language, he/she will also understand your "culture" or as we see it, what you would expect in living in North America. Pragmatic service to you is very, very important to us.

Most of our clients travel primarily to obtain medical services. However, if you also seek cultural or recreational travel in any of the states of India, Sri Lanka or Nepal, we can assist you in planning those trips and acquiring other services.
